Presentation

Clinical decisions, particularly in mental health treatment, may be suboptimal when scientific evidence or clinicians and patients’ preferences are overlooked. This results in unacceptable costs for society, impacting both patients’ well-being and clinicians’ trustworthiness.

As scientific and clinical data are now digital, and clinical decisions follow standardized procedures, researchers from UdG and IDIBGi have joined forces to apply artificial intelligence to assist clinicians and patients in shared decision-making.

Our proposed solution is EVIMATIC

The first eHealth tool that generates decentralized, automated, personalized, participatory, and explanatory treatment recommendations presented in a similar format to clinical practice guidelines.

As a proof of concept, we have implemented EVIMATIC to assist patients and clinicians in decision-making for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Our future plans include extending ts application to other disorders.

The minimal viable producte for EVIMATIC is scheduled to be launched in April 2024.
